We need to get more E stuff going. E can be a better desktop then Gnome or KDE!

I agree!
But the problem is that the e17 upgrades frequently break themes so it's a little bit discouraging for a beginner like me.

I need help installing themes please on E17. i am new to linux and i love elive but can not figure out how to install (itask) theme. i have tried just about everything. the "install" page says to complie and stuff but everything i try dosent work.. im not to sure on the complieing thing, like i said i am new to linux and was hopeing someone could giove me a r-tards walkthrough on installing themes.

it seems even though i am only user i am not admin.. i tried to install dungeon runners via wine and i get error saying it cant install to location cause i dont have permission... is there a way to set up elive so its only one user as admin? i hae tried every config in setup but i am a r-tard! :(

This is not a forum to explain how to use your Linux... Please, read some documentation before asking that kind of question, try to understand just why there are admin and users on your system, and why you can't and you don't have to be an admin user! There are excellent doc on Debian website, go to read them, it will answer all your questions.
