Description:

A set of X11 icons matching the default (black end white) theme for e17.

To use:
1. Download e17cur.tar.gz
2. Create the dir ~/.icons, if you don't have it already.
3. Extract the theme using tar -zxvf e17cur.tar.gz -C ~/.icons/
4. Edit the file ~/.Xdefaults (or create if you don't have it) and add this line:
Xcursor.theme: e17cur
5. Restart X11.

*update* In addition to the cursors, the directory ~/.icons/e17cur also includes a Source directory and a build script that you can use to make your own icons.

This prevents my mouse cursor changing to xdefault white when in swiftweasel for example. Very nice.
It doesn't work though when I put it in .Xdefaults, it did when I ran gnome-settings-daemon (this is e17 on ubuntu) and pointed gnome-appearance to the mouse theme. Ideas on that are welcome.

Ok, googled it out myself; firefox seems to be a problem with cursor themes:
- copy theme to /usr/share/icons
- set theme in /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme
- In .gtkrc-2.0 add:
gtk-cursor-theme-name="e17cur"
gtk-cursor-theme-size = 16

This may be too much and maybe only one of the above is the real solution, but I did some solutions I found together. Anyway, it works. Thanks.

Ok, weird, for me the theme is working without your solution even for firefox.

Maybe it is because of the gtk theme used.
